Char Dham Yatra from Bangalore: how to reach the start, the 9 nights and 10 days ex-Haridwar itinerary from ₹26,900 per person, and the days to set aside.
Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, joined to a departure from Bangalore. The yatra itself starts in Uttarakhand, so what changes from one city to the next is how you reach the start and how many days to set aside either side of it.
By air. Direct flights run from Bangalore (Bengaluru) to Dehradun's Jolly Grant airport, roughly three hours in the air and the longest of the non-stop routes into Dehradun. Delhi is also served directly and far more often.
By rail. There is no quick rail option: Bangalore to Haridwar runs well over forty hours, so almost everyone flies and keeps the train for part of the return, if at all.
A direct arrival into Dehradun puts you an hour from Haridwar, so the ex-Haridwar itinerary usually costs a Bangalore traveller the fewest days overall. Budget a day at each end for the flights.
Rates are per person, vary with hotel grade and group size, and exclude 5% GST. Flights and trains from your city are booked separately.

Yes. Non-stop services operate into Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun. Frequencies shift with the yatra season, so confirm current timings when you fix your dates.
Haridwar, in most cases. Flying straight into Dehradun leaves you about an hour from Haridwar, so the 9 nights and 10 days ex-Haridwar itinerary adds the least travel at either end.
About twelve days: 9 nights and 10 days for the yatra, plus a day at each end for the flights. The helicopter circuit out of Dehradun is the fastest option at 5 nights and 6 days.
The yatra is from ₹26,900 per person ex-Haridwar or ₹32,300 ex-Delhi, per person and excluding 5% GST. Flights and trains from your city are booked separately and are not part of the package.
May to June, or September to October. The monsoon months between bring landslides and road closures across the Garhwal ranges, and sightseeing is frequently lost to weather.
