The Do Dham Yatra by helicopter reaches Kedarnath Ji and Badrinath Ji in four days, flying out of Dehradun on fixed departures operated with professional aviation companies and experienced crew. VIP darshan is arranged at both Dhams, with a pandit accompanying the group at Kedarnath and car service with a priority puja pass at Badrinath. The programme can be flown on a twin engine MI-17 out of Jolly Grant or a single engine helicopter out of Sahastradhara, with luxury hotels and a full buffet meal plan at each halt.

The temple is approximately 500 metres from the helipad, about 15 minutes on foot. The pandit accompanies the group and leads the VIP darshan at Kedarnath temple, with a maximum of three hours allowed for darshan. The group then flies back to Sersi helipad for lunch, and passengers may visit the ancient Triyuginarayan or Kalimath Mandir before the overnight stay at Guptkashi on the banks of the Mandakini. Expect a waiting time of one to two hours at Phata to switch to the shuttle service.

After lunch we go to Mana village, the last border village of India with China, for sightseeing. In the evening passengers attend the Swarna Aarti at Badrinath temple, followed by dinner and the overnight stay at Badrinath.

INR 1,42,000 per person on a single engine helicopter from Sahastradhara, Dehradun, and INR 1,62,000 per person on the twin engine MI-17 from Jolly Grant, Dehradun. Both are inclusive of taxes and state government royalty, and neither rate applies to a single person.
The MI-17 is a twin engine helicopter departing from Jolly Grant, and the other option is a single engine helicopter departing from Sahastradhara. The hotels used at Dehradun, Guptkashi and Badrinath also differ between the two options.
A maximum of three hours is allowed at Kedarnath, led by the pandit accompanying the group with VIP darshan. At Badrinath the group checks in first, visits Mana village after lunch, and attends the Swarna Aarti at the temple in the evening.
Helicopter flying in the hills is affected by weather, air traffic clearances, VVIP movement, NOTAM restrictions and technical snags. If a Dham cannot be visited at all, approximately INR 20,000 per Dham per seat is refunded against the flying cost. If flying is not possible from Dehradun at all the tour is treated as cancelled, with a 5% service charge plus the utilised hotel and transport services deducted. Keep one additional day in hand at Dehradun.
Yes, and it is strictly enforced for safety. Passengers must declare accurate body weight at booking and are weighed at the helipad. The prescribed average is 75 kg per passenger including hand baggage. Excess weight is charged at INR 2,500 per kg on the Chardham heli tour and INR 1,500 per kg on the Do Dham heli tour, collected at Dehradun before boarding. A passenger whose actual weight far exceeds the declared figure may be deboarded without refund, and the final call rests with the pilot.
Only 3 kg per passenger. Baggage space inside a helicopter is very small, so large suitcases cannot be taken. Duffle bags are handed out at the evening briefing and the rest of your luggage stays at the hotel.
50% of the tour cost is deposited to confirm the booking and the balance is paid 30 days before departure. Passengers board only after the full and final payment is cleared.
A 5% administrative fee applies to any cancellation of a confirmed booking, whatever the reason. Beyond that, cancelling up to 30 days before departure carries a charge of 30% of the package amount, up to 20 days before departure 50%, and within 14 days of departure there is no refund. A no show carries no refund. A credit note is issued for a cancelled confirmed booking.
Children above 2 years are charged as adults. Infants below 2 years or 12 kg travel free of charge, and a birth certificate may be checked to verify age.
