Itinerary

Day 1

Dehradun to Kedarnath to Badrinath and back to Dehradun

All passengers report to Jolly Grant airport or the helipad on their own, so a morning departure means arriving in Dehradun the day before.

Jolly Grant to Phata to Kedarnath to Badrinath to Jolly Grant08:00 HRS departure to 14:45 HRS returnNot included

All passengers report to Jolly Grant airport or the helipad on their own, so a morning departure means arriving in Dehradun the day before. The flight departs the Sahastradhara helidrome at 08:00 HRS and reaches the Phata, Guptkashi or Sitapur helibase at 08:30 HRS. Following government guidelines we board a shuttle service helicopter to the Kedarnath Ji temple, where the helipad is just 300 to 400 metres from the shrine and about 1.5 to 2 hours are allowed for darshan. Expect an average wait of 1.5 to 2 hours for the shuttle at Phata, Guptkashi or Sitapur. We then return to the helibase and board the charter helicopter, departing at 11:00 HRS and reaching the Badrinath helipad at 11:30 HRS. Staff guide you to waiting cars for a five minute drive to the temple parking, and again roughly 1.5 to 2 hours are allowed for darshan, with the hot springs pool just below the temple on the way back. The return flight departs Badrinath at 14:00 HRS and lands at Jolly Grant airport at 14:45 HRS, where services conclude.
