About this trip

Overview

This compact circuit pairs India's most famous heritage route with a stay in the Kashmir valley. The first half moves quickly through the Golden Triangle, taking in the Pink City of Jaipur with its forts and bazaars and the Mughal capital at Agra with the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The second half slows down: flying north from Delhi, you settle into a traditional houseboat on the Dal Lake for three nights, with full days set aside for Pahalgam in the Lidder valley and for Gulmarg, the meadow of flowers below the Pir Panjal range. Sightseeing is planned around the essentials at each stop, with a private vehicle, on ground assistance and 3 star accommodation throughout.
