About this trip

Overview

The Pashupatinath and Muktinath Tour is a compact pilgrimage through two of Nepal's most revered Hindu sacred sites. The journey begins in Kathmandu with darshan at Guhyeshwari Shaktipeeth and Pashupatinath Temple, then continues through Pokhara and the trans Himalayan town of Jomsom to Shri Muktinath Temple in Mustang. The six day circuit combines overland travel between Kathmandu and Pokhara with flights between Pokhara and Jomsom, followed by a road transfer toward Muktinath. The highest point of the journey is around 3,800 metres, so the itinerary keeps the pilgrimage focused while allowing time for darshan, ritual bathing, rest and local sightseeing.
